Best Time to Visit Morocco: A Month-by-Month Guide
Morocco is a country of three climates at once: a mild Atlantic coastline, a cool mountain spine, and a scorching-by-day, freezing-by-night desert. The 'best' time to go really depends on which parts of the country are on your itinerary.
Spring (March-May)
Generally the best all-round season. Marrakech and Fes are warm but not yet hot, the Atlas passes are clear, and wildflowers cover the valleys. This is our most-booked season for multi-day Marrakech itineraries.
Summer (June-August)
Interior cities like Marrakech and Fes can be very hot, often above 38°C. The coast (Essaouira, Agadir, Tangier) stays pleasant, and desert nights are warm rather than cold — a good trade-off if you want to camp under the stars without needing extra layers.
Autumn (September-November)
Our second favourite window. Temperatures drop back to comfortable levels everywhere, and the Sahara dunes are especially beautiful in the lower autumn light.
Winter (December-February)
Cities and the coast stay mild by day, but desert nights and Atlas mountain passes get genuinely cold — pack layers if you're heading to Merzouga or crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass, which can occasionally see snow.
Whatever month you're travelling, our team builds each itinerary around the season, so get in touch and we'll suggest the right route for your dates.
